Rippleffect Fall Adventure Club

Overview

Join Rippleffect for fun and exciting outdoor experiences this fall while learning how to adventure outside in the late autumn weather! The Fall Adventure Club is open to 7th and 8th grade students and the program will culminate with an overnight expedition to the White Mountains where students will put into practice the skills learned during our outdoor classes and attempt to summit a mountain peak!

Throughout this program, participants will learn the fundamentals of outdoor living including:

  • Leave No Trace Principles

  • Appropriate layering and how our bodies lose heat

  • Useful knots and shelter building

  • Building basecamps

  • How to pack for an overnight expedition!

Participants will build a strong sense of community by completing a number of games and initiatives while also developing core life leadership skills, such as being proactive and learning how to communicate well with others, during our after-school sessions. The Fall Adventure Club maintains a guide to participant ratio of 1:6, with the group being capped at 12 participants.
