Family Ice Climbing Clinic

Feb. 10 - 8:00AM–4:00PM

This clinic is open to anyone, ages 10 and up! An individual, group, or family can sign up. No guardian presence required.


Ice climbing is one of the easiest forms of climbing to learn, and is definitely one of the most fun! Destinations include the White Mountains of Maine and New Hampshire as well as more local destinations in southern and western Maine. All climbing destinations are condition dependent and will be determined the week of the climb.

No previous experience necessary, all technical equipment provided by Rippleffect.

$115/person

No Rippleffect transportation available. Pick-up, and drop-off at location is required. Upon determination of location, more transportation information will be provided.


Gear List:

Please come prepared with as much of the following gear as possible. Any gear participants do not have for this adventure can be borrowed from Rippleffect the morning of th trip. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@rippleffect.net with any questions you may have!

  • 2 pairs wool or synthetic socks - packed

  • Long underwear bottoms – wearing on arrival

  • Rain pants or soft shell synthetic pants. Rain pants or snow pants are perfect! - packed

  • Long underwear/base layer top – must be non-cotton – wearing on arrival

  • Fleece layer – packed or wearing

  • Additional insulating layer or light jacket - packed

  • Heavy winter jacket to fit over all layers - packed

  • Rain jacket - packed

  • 2 pairs gloves minimum - packed

  • Winter Hat - packed
