Cow Explorers combines the magic of the Cow Island experience with the excitement of exploring nearby islands on a one-night paddling trip. Ride our zip line, build a raft, get creative with an environmental art project, and set up your own camp on a remote island all in the same week! This program offers an exciting adventure for new and returning students alike, and is open to Rising 7th and 8th graders.

Paddle Trek I | Rising 7th - 9th

These sea kayaking adventures offer the opportunity to explore the beautiful islands of Casco Bay while learning valuable outdoor living and leadership skills. Camping on a different island each night, participants will enjoy making new friends among the natural beauty of Maine’s coast.

Youth Leadership Summit (YLS)

Our one week Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) teaches local high school students skills to help cope with challenging situations, recognize their individual potential, and become an effective leader among their peers and in their community.

ROLE After School Programs

Rippleffect believes that hands-on education in outdoor classrooms is fundamental to the healthy development of citizens and communities. Rippleffect Outdoor Leadership Education (ROLE) brings the best of Rippleffect’s curriculum to local middle schools during the fall, winter, spring and late spring quarters of each year. Our guides travel to participating schools one afternoon each week to teach leadership and outdoor skills.

Classic Cow Islanders | Rising 6th

In this week-long overnight program, students will spend the week on Cow Island developing leadership skills, outdoor living practices, and sea kayaking. This program is perfect for adventurous individuals who are excited to be challenged by living on Cow Island.
